The High School offers a comprehensive College/University Preparatory curriculum, following the NC Course of Study requirements, which includes standard, honors, and Advanced Placement level courses, as well as complementary elective courses. As part of the curriculum, Lake Norman Charter also provides leadership integration and service-learning opportunities which instills necessary 21st Century Skills, such as civic literacy, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.

Students at Lake Norman Charter have the opportunity to participate in 18 different extracurricular organizations and 18 different sports. The school’s mission statement is to prepare students to be community leaders demonstrating personal integrity with a life-long desire to learn, lead, and serve. As a result, students also are exposed to leadership and service learning throughout the curriculum so that every student can develop not only their full academic potential, but also their leadership potential.
